THE DAY OF PENTECOST.
The first image in the All is Wild: Black & White portfolio is an image called ‘Pentecost‘. I call the image Pentecost [above image] because it visually seems like fire is coming from heaven, similar to the fire coming down on the day of Pentecost in the Christian faith & tradition.
It was a surreal moment that happened serendipitously–like most of my good images. I thought I would share some of the images that I took within 15 minutes of that image to show 1) what other cool moments were happening, and 2) why the other images didn’t make the cut.
The other images of the rain sheets falling on the mountain didn’t make the cut because they didn’t give attention to the moment that was the most awe-inspiring; the rain sheets. They are interesting, but not as powerful.
